Ryan is a professional skateboarder and Skateboard GB registered Coach with over 20 years of experience under his belt.

He is also a highly professional and experienced commentator, broadcaster and MC for action sports events and demonstrations in skateboarding.

He began skateboarding at the age of 14. He is Regular Footed and is known for skating both vert and mini-ramp. His first sponsor was Popcorn Skate Shop in Northallerton. Since then he has gone on to compete and skate for various brands and represent them at competitions and events.

in June 2023 Ryan started a skateboarding school in North Yorkshire. Ryan currently has more than 30 youngsters learning to skate and developing their skills under Ryan's supervision. Ryan is a professional and accredited Skateboard GB Coach offering his services to not only teach lessons, train and coach skaters of all capabilities individually and professionally, but also get them ready for national competitions and qualifiers.

He is currently working with and training a future star of the sport called Lorenzo Ferrari from Scarborough, whose dream is to go the Olympic Games in 2028. The skate school has been running for around four weeks now and has visited Norton and Malton, Thornton Le Dale and Kirkbymoorside skateparks. It has seen children of all ages and sexes come together to learn how to get rolling and ride a skateboard. Ryan is trying to encourage and teach young people about good etiquette and about the facilities and how to use them efficiently, as well as about equality and diversity around each other.
